Multi Person Chamber

The ABC's of Adding Wound Care and/or

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy To Your Hospital

Single Person Chamber

We specialize in developing comprehensive wound care
and hyperbaric medicine programs.

A multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment of chronic wounds.

Since incorporation in 1997, ABC has been partnering with hospitals and physicians with a comprehensive approach to the management of chronic debilitating wounds.  ABC has designed and developed wound care and hyperbaric programs in the U.S. and Canada.  Each program is designed with an emphasis on patient satisfaction, comfort, and safety.  These valuable new services can help place your hospital ahead of local competition as a truly modern health care provider while increasing profitability.

Let us structure a plan to meet your center’s needs.

ABC provides everything necessary to take your program
through start-up and on to success!

We evaluate existing programs to find ways to improve services and to reduce program costs.

Most hospital-run programs don't have the focus or expertise to maximize the delivery of specialized wound care services.  While working with ABC, a hospital can choose from the services that best meet its specific needs to build or refocus its wound care program.

Education
American Baromedical provides the initial training and continuing education for physicians, nurses and other health care providers in the treatment of problem wounds and the administration of hyperbaric oxygen treatment.  This training can be conducted on-site to maximize effectiveness and increase attendance.

Ken Locklear
President of American Baromedical Corporation (ABC)

Ken Locklear is a veteran of the US Navy Deep Sea Diving and Salvage program, specializing in mixed gas diving and advanced hyperbaric medical training.  He became a Certified Hyperbaric Technologist in 1995 after leaving the Navy, and has worked in the everyday management of hyperbaric patient care as well as department design and construction.

In 1997, Ken left the national hyperbaric management company he helped to start and created American Baromedical Corporation (ABC).  ABC is one of the industry’s first hyperbaric consulting firms that helped hospitals implement hyperbaric programs without having to hire outside management.

In 2000, Ken founded Hyperbaric Medicine Today (HBOMEDTODAY),  The industry’s first full color news publication specializing in the everyday events of hyperbaric medicine around the world. www.hyperbaricmagazine.com enjoys the distinction of being the most frequented hyperbaric websites on the internet because of the diverse and relevant information they contains.

Today Ken serves as the President of ABC and promotes hospitals, freestanding medical programs, and other management companies to grow and promote hyperbaric medicine.  He has testified and submitted documentation showing the efficacy of hyperbaric medicine before the US Congress, the states of Texas and California, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  Ken is also the founder and Executive Director of the Oxygen Research Foundation (ORF).  ORF is a nationwide research and education organization dedicated to expanding the use of Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) through investigative studies and public awareness in conditions where ameliorating hypoxia and anemia lead to an improved quality of life.
ABC recently acquired Best Publishing (www.bestpub.com) which will help to further promote the diving, hyperbaric, and wound care field.
